I’m Jill Hanson, long-time resident of Balgonie and surrounding area, bodybuilding beast, fitness enthusiast, Martha Stewart wanna-be and #beyoutiful beast entrepreneur.
I am a Can Fit Pro Certified Personal Trainer with 5 years experience. I have worked in both commercial and private gym settings as both a group fitness instructor, sports trainer and one on one trainer. In addition I am also a certified Agatsu kettle bell instructor.
In 2011, I decided to take a leap of faith and with nothing more than a van full of kettle bells I ventured out on my own creating Fidelity Fitness & Training. After years of watching people, more specifically women, shy away from the gym atmosphere due to crowded facilities, intimidation of not knowing where or how to begin, lack of motivation, lack of achieving results and of course expensive memberships, I wanted to provide an environment that would address all these issues that at one point in my journey was exactly how I felt too.
My passion for the gym combined with years of being a competitive athlete led me to the bodybuilding industry and in 2012 I set out to enter the competition world. Long time cardio bunny I had no idea what it meant to strength train. Like so many others out there I feared the myths around women and weights. ‘I’ll get bulky, I’ll get manly etc. etc.” I quickly de-bunked this thinking when I won my first show, taking first in Figure and Overall champ. It was at this moment I fell head over heels in love with the sport.

I believe that in order to succeed you need to step outside your current comfort zone, which likely isn’t all that comfortable if you are currently searching for a facility/trainer/class to get you started. I believe in training for a look never a number, building shapes and curves rather than simply getting skinny, learning sustainability rather than quick fixes, all pushing yourself physically so that you can see what you are made of mentally and above all learning each day to love the skin you are in.
Regardless of your fitness level we all deserve to train under circumstances in which we feel surrounded and supported with complete confidence in our abilities to meet our goals. As your trainer, I work to continually offer guidance and direction throughout your journey however reminding you daily that no one else can save you but you. Do not let the worries of yesterday or the "what ifs" of tomorrow affect the work put in today.
With hard work, discipline, commitment and above all patience, results are inevitable. Ready, Set, GO…..
